Solid Waste Collection

Dear Valued Customer,

We would like to take this opportunity to introduce ourselves. WASTE MANAGEMENT is contracted with Houston County to provide the best curbside waste disposal service available to the residents of the unincorporated areas. If you have any questions concerning the following, please do not hesitate to call our office at (478) 987-1411 Monday thru Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM.

You have been provided with a 95-gallon cart (trash can). Your cart is emptied once per week per the pickup schedule.  Placement of the cart at the curb is very important. Also, please do not put hot ashes in the cart. The cart remains the property of the Houston County Commissioners and must not be painted, abused, or mutilated. If your cart needs repaired OR replaced, please call (478) 987-1411, or go to the web portal at
