The Houston County Board of Commissioners plans to present and accept updates to the County's five-year Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) covering fiscal years 2027 through 2031 at its August 18, 2026 regular meeting. The plan outlines the County's anticipated investments in infrastructure, facilities, equipment, and public services over the next five years.

The CIP serves as a multi-year planning tool that identifies major capital projects, estimated costs, and anticipated funding sources, including SPLOST, general fund allocations, grants, and enterprise fund revenues. It is reviewed and updated regularly to reflect changing priorities, project progress, and available funding.
